Question & Answer with the #CraftBeer Evangelist

So, Mr. Evangelist, why the new #craftbeer blog?

It’s simple, really. The #craftbeer industry has seen exponential growth over the last few years, and I felt it was time to spread the word. The total breweries in US at the end of June 2014 sits at 3,040, according to the November issue of All About Beer magazine. I plan to visit, and glorify, them all sometime in the future.

Sounds like a good plan. Do you have a name for this experience?

I do. I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you. Plus, if I tell you, the domain name will be swooped up by those disgusting domain squatters, and sold to me at an exorbitant markup price. Nobody wants to see that. Let’s just say the name will be multi-syllabic, and have something to do with craft beer. Capice?!

Got it. Tell us more about this #craftbeer blog. What is the intent and what will be the format?

Good question. LOL. Again, the blog is being created to spread the word of #craftbeer, the guys that make it, the cool establishments where they serve it, and probably something about the food served in said establishment. I am originally from the South Florida area, which is making a big splash on the craft beer world with the likes of Funky Buddha Brewery, Wynwood Brewery, and JWakefield Brewing. That will be one specific area of topic from the onset of the blog, the South Florida #craftbeer scene. I got married last July (hi honey!), and relocated to Chattanooga, TN, so the Chattanooga craft beer scene will also take center during the early days of the blog. They make amazing craft beer in Chattanooga, and I want to let everyone in on the secret. I’m sure I will visit other interesting locales during this time as well, and I will be enlightening anyone that reads (hi honey!) about the establishments I find that are blazing a craft beer trail through their localities. Good clean fun, for the most part. Let’s just say, hilarity will ensue.

Sounds like a full schedule of the next few months. Speaking of a schedule, will there be one for this blog?

You’re a nosey bugger, aren’t you?! Since my life often bounces between South Florida and Chattanooga, the blog will also bounce between those locales to start. I think I’ll start with some of the South Florida breweries, since I am most familiar with those fine establishments, and intersperse those with the local breweries in Chattanooga. All I can say is stay tuned!
